You know, for a guy with a pet peeve concerning stupid jokes about his name, I sure like to title my pages with bad puns, huh? Anyway…

So there I was, with a fairly decent amount of money won from an online sportsbook. It was the first time that I felt lucky since that 350-pound linebacker tuned both of my knees into water balloons filled with shrapnel and black blood coagulating into online slots of pure pain. There was only one problem: the sportsbook didn’t want to give it to me.

I looked them up on the ‘net and sure enough, there had been some other players with the same problem. Funny thing was, I could have saved myself the heartache if I’d just read through the sportsbook’s rules — they have maximums and minimums and limitations, all that jazz. Once I fulfilled my part of the bargain, the sportsbooks was happy to send me my cash.

Of course, once I got it, I closed my account and signed up with a better sportsbook. You know what they say, sometimes you have to learn from your first choice so that you can make a good second choice. It applies to homecoming queens, and it applies to online sportsbooks (and an online casino USA) as well.

Without looking back, I signed up to the best online sportsbook that I could find (BetUS, by the way…but for fairness sake, Sportsbook.com and SportsBetting.com were also in the running right up to the very end!). Since then, I’ve had zero trouble placing bets and getting back my winnings. I won’t shame the first sportsbook by naming them — they were pretty good, for the most part, and it was mostly my fault for not reading the rules.

Anyway, BetUS has always done right by me. As far as my bets go…well, let’s just say that I’m right about half the time. I keep making money, because I’m smart enough to stick to my plan, but I also have a habit of betting hunches and choosing my favorite teams, which any pro will tell you aren’t always smart bets. But we’ll go into strategy some other time…
